Nothing was plugged in except the usual PC stuff: keyboard (qwerty), mouse, printer, monitors.

It'll only be one item. How hard can it be to eliminate which one?

Please list shoes, glasses and favorite beverages. Also, next time try logging out and back in instead of rebooting. Sonar used to crash my Layla, and that would fix it pretty quickly. Now that I think about it, I may have been able to turn off my interface to get Sonar to shutdown.

I don't get many crashes like that anymore (since I don't use Dim Pro, Rapture, and the 2 LP64 plugs. But I never could get out of it without rebooting. The only ext drvice is a midisport 2X2 but unplugging that never helped.
I just learned to live with it. But now I don't have to much at all. Using Ozone and Kontakt 4 mostly.

This has been discussed a few times so there are posts about it but trying to find them may be a problem.

Here's one I bookmarked a while back:

A lot of times, all you need to do is restart Sonar, and then close it normally.

Isn't the problem with the exe crash that it's already open so you can't restart it.
