I am wondering if using the console emulator modules in Sonar coupled with the appropriate T-Racks emulators will further add to the overall emulation effect?

Let's take the S-Type emulator for example. If I use that on every single track/channel and buss throughout a project...you are supposed to hear the cumulative effect of all of them on your final mix. However, if I were to also use the T-Racks "British Channel" (which is modeled after the same console as the S-Type module) in addition on all the same tracks/channels and busses...would the cumulative effect be even greater?

Just curious if anyone has tried this.

Interesting question. Without having the T-Racks option in front of me to try, my guess is that using two in series would create more of an "effect" than an emulation. Whether this is a good thing or not would be up to your ears.
 
Remember that consoles "back in the day" tried to achieve the best response possible using the technology of that time. So, the change they introduced to the signal path was subtle; for example several consoles used input transformers that colored the sound in ways people considered (and still consider) desirable, while slight analog distortions and non-linearities added a certain character. These were subtle differences, and console emulators give subtle differences.
 
But while we're on the subject...I've mentioned this before, but the Console Emulators in Sonar can do wonderful things with bass when used as an effect (i.e., with the controls turned up to exaggerate the effect). So really, you never know what potential lies within creative abuse   If you end up trying the dual console emulators, let us know what you find.

You're so right....in the end it truly is just a matter of personal taste and whatever a certain track may call for. As great sounding as these plugins are....Sometimes it's possible to get too much of a good thing. :) That being said, I am going to try this on my next project. I think I am going to purchase the T-Racks EQ 81, which is based on the Neve 1081 console, and use it on my tracks along with Sonar's N-Type emulator module. The hard part will be trying to keep an objective ear since it's quite easy to want more and more of that "lush" sound.

Do you, or anyone else out there, have any experience with the EQ 81 plugin? From what I've heard and read it looks like IK Multimedia have absolutely nailed the characteristics.

I was wondering the but I use the kramer tapes,tubes and transitors which emulates the olympic console,which toy ears sounds just like a real cosole

Regarding the EQ 81 plugin, you might wait until the anticipated Slate VMR comes out. It may still be a while, but past experience with their sound quality and the advertised price of this on release make it a no-brainer.
