thought I'd post again, maybe someone new is viewing and has a thought - my faders are not recording automation in X2.  I can draw nodes and move those and X2 sees them; but if I move the faders the data is not recorded (and it doesn't override the nodes, like it used to).  I am read enabled and write enabled.  Never had any trouble with volume moves for automation before in Sonar - again, I can draw volume moves - but the fader moves do not get recorded - what's the problem?

Do a test in a different project (or a new project). I've seen cases in the past where something inside the project gets 'corrupted' and causes issues, but it's only within that one project. If that's the case, you may just need to delete that whole envelope and try again. I've had similar issues with Gain Automation envelopes not responding to clicks, and the only way I could escape that was to create a new track, copy over the audio and start fresh with a new Gain Automation envelope.

Offset mode?

thank you Brian, that's it!  I had suspected something like that, but I wasn't going to go as far as a new project - I cloned a track with no change - but when I created a new project and pasted stuff in, it worked.  Will be a pain with some large old projects, but at least I know the software is working.  Thanks, man.  And also to Gswitz, I saw about offset mode in a previous post but it didn't work, but I thank you for helping me figure it out.  What a great community!  Thanks again.
