In Kontakt I can trigger other synths such as session string &orchestral. But when I trigger abbey road drums I get midi signal but no sound. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I created a separate master output channel in the Abbey Road drum synth but when I go to the input output drop down menu select Kontakt it does not come up. There are some there that are for instruments I opened up but closed out of. Can't figure out how to delete those. Not sure if there's a max off outs you can use in Kontakt. You can get a better idea from the screen shot.

I know it's not much help but they work fine for me.

You're correct.

Do they work in other host software or in the standalone Kontakt?

I do not use any other host software. I will try it in standalone mode when I get home and report back. I didn't think to try it.

Yes it all works fine in standalone. There is some setting I'm missing.

Is this a problem with the default "Prepare Using nnn Millisecond Buffers" setting? Try changing the value to 500 or 750 in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording.

Weirdly I started up Sonar today and it's working fine. Except in the output drop down of Abbey it shows the separate master output channel I created but in the input drop down of the sonar audio channel it does not show the output I created for Abbey but shows all the others I created.

Are you on Sonar X3e and the latest version of Kontakt? (Check the latter using the NI Service Center)
