I live for the "subscribe to all" notifications until such time that I decide a given fred is of no use to me (i.e. no way can I increase my pos.... intelligence).

As the idea forms, ever so slowly, consideration is given to where this character might fit in The Grande Story.  Like the darkness fading to light in the morning, so has the memory of that FRED.  It may be lost forever, but expect no condolences from this, the most stoic of the basement forum dwellers.  As do all uptight straight guys that frequent this lowly of low places I wonder,  "Will it ever be found again?"
 
For what purpose might it be resurrected?  Perhaps to increase the number of Zombies present.  No Zombie story ever told tells of their ability to procreate on their own.

Though a whole basement would probably be much bigger, but we dont have one!

Yes, I also was deeply moved by that "basement forum dweller" comment, but was soon comforted by "lowly of low places". Sometimes, you just have to take the good with some rest.
