At last you respond to my posts, I am a happy chap.

How can you be happy when you need help? Did you have both a mother and a father, or did you come from a single parent family? Yeah, I think that may be it, nonetheless your welcome.

Most psychiatrist experts support separate diagnoses to emphasize the differences between the hotheaded adult antisocial sadist type personality and the cold-blooded psychopath, or in children, those with ordinary conduct disorder and those with CD plus callous emotional traits.
“Treatment programs for conduct disorder are very good, but the callous group doesn’t respond to things like punishment, the naughty slap, or time out,” in the same way, psychopaths are much harder to reform than adults with Anti-Social-Psychiatric-Disorder.

Reward-based treatments work best for callous/unemotional children, even though they seem counter-intuitive for the most badly behaved kids, which is what the neuroscience tells us.

1) Projected Feelings of Insecurity: Akin to playing hot potato with a sense of smallness and deficiency, narcissists say and do things, subtle or obvious, that attempt to make you feel less smart, less accomplished, less competent. It's as if they're saying, "I don't want to feel this insecure and small; here, you take the feelings." Picture the boss who questions your methods after their own decision derails an important project, the date who frequently claims not to understand what you've said, even when you've been perfectly clear. Remember the saying: "Don't knock your neighbor's porch light out to make yours shine brighter." Well, the narcissist loves to knock out your lights to seem brighter by comparison.

Would you like a lolly jb101, that's a good boy!

I am not entirely sure what your point is here, but I will make a couple of points anyway.

Firstly, I don't know where you googled this from, but it is out of date.  We don't tend to refer to "psychopaths" or "Sociopaths" anymore, the diagnosis is "Borderline Personality Disorder", or Antisocial Personality Disorder".  It has been this way since DSM-III, as far as I remember.  Also, "Sadistic Personality Disorder" (which is what I think you mean) has not been included as a valid diagnostic category since DSM-IV.  Trust me, you do not want to enter into a psychological/psychiatric debate with me.  Choose your targets carefully.  A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Secondly, your post does not follow any logical structure.  If you wish to assassinate my personality, then at least do me the credit of doing it well.  Infer something from my writing, put forward a logical interpretation, and then back it up with examples.  e.g. inferring that I come from a broken home is not really backed up by the content of my posts.  Many things are, but not that.  Then commenting on unrelated psychiatric diagnoses is a non sequitur.

Thirdly, to keep the thread on track, before it is surely locked, I like the Saturation Knob.  In the right circumstances it adds just the right "Warmth" or "Grit" to a track.  Sometimes it does not.

As to its origins - I believe it was part of one of Softube's Compressors, perhaps the FET, which they decided to release separately as it was so effective.

Anyhow, I am off to do something more creative.  Don't get hung up on this too much.  Use what you like and feel can add something to your music.. Don't use something you don't like.

Most of all, please use your ears to determine this, and not marketing blurb.  Listen.  Your ears are by far the best tool in your arsenal, not any particular plugin.

Also, calm down a bit.  You will get banned otherwise.  That would be a pity.  Make those around you happy.  It feels nice.

If you are my dear friend Mike, then there is no hope for you.  If you are not Mike, then try a different tack on here, and we may all learn something, evolve and create better music.

This is all that matters, surely.

Happily yours,

Jonathan.

LA2A you're very close to violating the TOS if you haven't already. Do not attack people! Attack ideas not people.

IMO, I think LA2A already has. This forum is full of very helpful people, and even though we disagree many times, our point is not to attack and demean each other. Just for the record, blocking someone doesn't help with my cell, so I actually logged in to unblock LA2A and find the first post flagged as SPAM in this thread (#40) so I could add my vote. That is the last "misuse of my time" that LA2A gets.
