Well I'll be... I'd started to think something was swamping down my system! AD2.02 fix confirmed here!

Clintmartin,
How,may I ask, did you find out about the updates to AD2?  I did not receive any email notification from XLN and I don't see any information on their web site talking about an update.  Does running the installer again just update the software or does the whole program have to be downloaded again?
Thanks,

Yep, the software forum is pretty good here for update info. I also follow xln on facebook and spend too much time on the internet.

All the fix info is on their Facebook page. These quick fixes do nothing but raise their reputation.

Well, It's not being "fixed" for me. Checking for updates every day using the XLNInstaller but the CPU spikes and the white noise are still there.
Should i uninstall AD2 and do a reinstallation?
Can i uninstall and reinstall how many times i want to?
Cheers from Gothenburg, Sweden!

I haven't been getting noticeable spikes, but initially my keyboard shortcuts were been dropped out as I interacted with the software - Blue 2.0, TH2, have both done this too BTW. However, after the first fix, this seemed to stop...or mostly anyway...what I then found was that the timeline started stopping, even though the track kept playing...after 4/5 bars, the timeline would suddenly 'catch-up'.

I sent a basic project to XLN's support, and they found a 'glitch', which was then sent to the developers...I've been waiting for a fix to this, otherwise I was just going to refund it, as AD1 works flawlessly. I guess I'll try the update and see if it does the trick.

Hello Cat Cave,

I haven't noticed any more issues since the update of 2.0.2 (CPU spike and Lengthening the Bars) you can
contact XLN and open an issue report, there pretty good at getting back with you shortly. Yes you can uninstall and reinstall as you like.

Good Luck!

Mike.

Dear Mantra Sky

I read your post on the Gearlutz forum joining the chorus of users telling the world how AD 2 is spiking their CPUs.

You may have forgotten, but you ended your post with:

If you come across a solution, please post! I'll do the same, thanks

This Gearslutz forum thread is still unresolved. For the sake of people, like me, thinking of upgrading to AD2, and for the sake of XLN Audio’s reputation, perhaps you could take the time to say “it’s all good now” over on that forum as you have on this one?

Thanks
All the best

Before everybody responds to this I suggest going to the XLN installer and see if there are any updates...
And please quote the full version of Addictive Drums 2 you are on as I think there have been a few patches.

If you want to discuss this with XLN post on their Facebook page.

Cheers...
