I'm fairly certain this is a machine specific problem, as it does not appear to be a widespread issue.
The crash dump refers to exception code c000096.
Google searches have not shown me anything useful.
I have created a new project with no plug-ins to rule out the possibility of those being the problem. X3 still crashes on save.
System specs are in my sig.
The program executes flawlessly, and everything is great, until I attempt to close it.
I'm at a loss on this one.
Any thoughts?

Does it save to a different drive or directory?

There is only the C drive on this computer.
From what I can see, it isn't saving at all.
Thanks.

It gets better. Now the project that I was able to open earlier today crashes when I attempt to start it.
I'm going to look at system restore to see if there has been a recent event.

I'm not seeing that. How do I get to it?

Is it only that particular song?
I seem to recall a file getting corrupted & behaving like this.

Try creating a new song from scratch & see if it still happens...

I used to find that certain files would allocate massive amounts of memory when Sonar tried to save them, which usually led to a crash or a hang. This would only be likely to be a problem with the 32 bit version however - 64 bit wouldn't run out of memory like that.
