We've just released an update for all our Evolution guitar libraries (including Evolution Mandolin) with the following additions/changes:

Changes in the update:

1. Strumming pattern bug fix.

The last update we released allowed strumming patterns to sync with tempo changes. Unfortunately it also introduced a bug where, depending on the timing of the pattern keys, it would occasionally skip a beat in the pattern, causing the playback to sound consistently out of sync.

2. New guitar cabinet model.

We took the opportunity to add a new guitar cabinet to the collection called "1x12 Rattlesnake". This particular cabinet is a model Carlos Santana is known for playing.

In this video from one of our users, you can hear the new cabinet model used in this fantastic cover of Santana's hit, Europa.

How to update your libraries:

To update your Evolution libraries, head over to the downloads section of your account here. You will need to re-download the engine files for each Evolution guitar library and overwrite your existing engine files with these new ones. You don't need to re-download the samples, because those are unchanged.

Here's a video tutorial showing how to update your engine files.

Should you wish to manually overwrite the files, only the ".NKR" file in the library's root directory, and the ".NKI" in the "Instruments" subfolder need to be replaced with the updated versions.

To verify that the update has been correctly installed, look for the version number "1.1.68" in Kontakt's status bar after loading the instrument. Alternatively, you can check that the additional "1x12 Rattlesnake" cabinet option is available among the other cabinet options in the TONE section.

If the library doesn't seem to be updating, even after restarting Kontakt, be sure to review the tutorial video above to make sure you're applying the update correctly. If you still can't get it working, you can contact our support here.

Hope you enjoy the update!
