Honestly Dan,when I first got it, I didn't like it at all. I was so used to the Boss COSM FX and amp sims I'd been using for years that it didn't sound right. Kenny Wilson advised me to dig deeper into it and 'show it who's boss' (his words )...he was right of course.

For me, the Digitech was an upgrade from an 80's era Roland unit. What a difference. Not sure if the RP can be updated with amp impulses like the GSP, but there are a ton on the 'net that give you a lot of flexibility. I usually record direct through a Radial and parallel through the GSP (3 tracks). Then I can use whatever I want on the direct track and still get the live groove from playing through the GSP.

Dan

Yeah, I had an RP-50 and moved to the RP-500 and I too am totally digging Digitech.  I've been eyeing the GSP1101 but don't really need it.  Great tones on this one and thanks for the lowdown on how you got that lead tone, awesome stuff!

Thanks again Tony. The RP-55 is certainly an amazing little unit for £29! I'm still finding out what it can do.

Me likey!

My only criticism would be that it's too short.  I was just drifting away when it ended.

Exactly my feeling too! Otherwise nice mix, great guitarsolo and the bass fits right in. Nice drums as well, loops or are you playing?
