Me likey!

My only criticism would be that it's too short.  I was just drifting away when it ended.

Exactly my feeling too! Otherwise nice mix, great guitarsolo and the bass fits right in. Nice drums as well, loops or are you playing?

Thanks Lasse! The percussion is 2 pot/roto-tom/conga loops from a world percussion DVD, the drums were done in piano roll with Addictive Drums 2.

Wow, this is much different than your collabs...    Really cool vibe happening, and the guitar playing and tone fits so well.   I also liked those high "whistle" synth lines.

Since it was a little too short then you must obviously do more solo pieces.    There, fixed.

James,

Very creative piece, I like how you put the rhythmic drum track under a somewhat traditional rock guitar hero vibe in the intro.   Makes it all very interesting and unique.    Does sound like Eric Johnson's clean tone ("Manhattan" for example) Guitar tones are outstanding throughout.   Had a few listens through.

Thanks Steve! That's a huge compliment coming from you, love your prog instrumentals. Those high pitched synth lines are one of the weird elec piano patches in Rapture Session I think.

Working on more right now...

Thanks Mark!  I've had the EJ comparison before so I've been listening to him lately - very nice stuff, and I am definitely not worthy!

really great stuff, James!  love the contrast when the distorted guitar came in and I guess the bazz is OK, too.  not enough Am tho.

great stuff all through!

Big thanks again to Ed for the bass on this, it gave the track a lot of movement.
