I just started to play around with Melodyne. I have a guitar track that was recorded without a metronome and and it goes off beat in a few places.  The problem is I selected only a portion of the audio track and not the complete track. I have to select the rest of the track and create another region fx and where the two are split is creation some grief. Is there a way to extend an existing region fx

I tend to have a split between every verse, chorus, solo etc. It's easier to handle that way. If you don't like the split point then merge the clips together and split again, you may need to remove the regionfx first to do this. I always clone the track first so I have a copy before I treat it with melodyne which can come in useful in case of screwups.

Might be better advice to follow I'm not on X3 right now.

Thanks...

I think your only option is to bounce your existing Melodyne edits and start again with a bigger region. I was a little disappointed that you can't extend on the fly because it sounds like the kind of benefit which should come with ARA integration, but hey ho - it's workaroundable.
