There are plenty of vinylizer VST's out there - iZotope's is a good one, and it's free: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/effects-instruments/vinyl/

Sometimes I'll just turn off all of the vinyl noise settings - scratches, dust, electrical hum etc - and use the "year" dial to get that vintage lo-fi tone. It works great.

Sharke clued me in on vinyl... And that makes noise with the transport stopped too (rather freaky actually). I can see me going back to a song in the future and wondering why it has issues.

+1 for Vinyl - it's great at giving everything that straight from vinyl sound, with a decent amount of control.

Funny.... Vinyl is how I first got on board with Ozone at v1.

LOL this happens to me all the time - I'll load a project and wonder why in the hell it's crackling. I get around it by automating it so that the effect only happens on the parts of the tune I want it to (intro's etc).

Oh and if you're wondering why the warp controls don't work, they only work in the Direct X version of the plug (I think both are in the download). However, since reinstalling my audio stuff on a new rig, for some reason they don't work in the Direct X version for me either. It sure used to work...
