Hi folks. Have a CME U6 midi keyboard. The mod wheel isn't doing anything in cakewalk(8.5). Tried kontakt, east west and a few more samplers, but no dice. The mod wheel in the programs arn't even moving when i use the wheel on the keyboard. No problem moving the wheel with the mouse. The pitch control works fine. Any ideas??? I know mod wheel uses CC1 as a midi CC. Unfortunatley i'm not very good with midi andd controllers.Any help would be appreciated. Using Xp service pack 3,soundblaster audigy x,CME U6 keyboard and Cakewalk sonar producer 8.5. Thanks /Ray     PS. Have tried another keyboard,CME M-Key,and it's exactly the same with that. Really would like to get this working as i have some stuff that i need to use the mod wheel with. Thanks

Arm a midi track, hit record move the mod wheel and also play a few notes
Stop recording
Highlight the midi track and look in even viewer to see if you have CC01 events and notes.
If you only have notes
then I'd look into initializing your keyboard back to factory settings as a first attempt at a fix.
If that doesn't fix it then I'd have to guess your keyboard is broken.

hi steve,Thanks for the info.Yes i did as u said. armed a track...i moved the pitch and that showed up as a wave. Then i tried the mod wheel,,and didn't show any wave. But when i played the keyboard(piano sound) there was midi, and the mod wheel worked.Though i had to slide it back down because it was still on when i put it back in the middle.Ok,,whatydoes that mean ,,that the mod wheel is working ok??What's the viewer ,so i can see if it's CC01 events??
also when i play back the recording thre is no mod wheel on the piano,,only when i used the pitch control
