I get this symbol at random in my Sonar track view.[image]c:\Users\Tim/My Documents\Cakewalk\Sonar mystery icom.jpg[/image]In case the picture doesn't work.  I will try and describe it.It looks like the move tool next to a vertical line.
Once it appears anything I paste, regardless of which track is selected, is pasted at this symbol.
I ran across this problem before, a few years ago.  At that time I stumbled upon a picture of it in in a Sonar/Cakewalk reference manual.  But now.... try as I might, I can't find the information anywhere.

The object is in the center if the image.  Looks like the "move" tool with a vertical line to its' left.

Gawd I've seen this but I've forgetton you might get a better answer shortly. Try clicking on the smart tool or some other tool. Also try pressing Escape.


Are you on X1D. If not I recommend updating. Cheers..

I tried "escape" first, then every other key /key combination, but to no avail.
The issue persists with saving the file.
If I move back through my history, it remains.
If I revert, it remains.
"Sometimes" copying and pasting to a new project removes it.
 

Try hitting the zero on the numeric keypad.
