I use a Nucleus and each time I boot Sonar I have to manually go to the mcu plugin and configure the second bank of fader to be 9-16.
 
Is there something I could do to force Sonar to remind this layout?

If you are using the MC control surface as your CS in Sonar and you have it pointing to the right ports. It should stay that way. However if you don't have your surface on before you start Sonar, Sonar may not see it. The default is that the bank buttons on the MC will switch banks and the strip button with move over one strip. This is the way it is for me on an original MC.

I have to ask what Much mode is?
