Looks interesting, but if it doesn't expand with my OctaCapture, I will let it pass..

Where does it say it doesn't? I had assumed that they built it so that it expands VS-100, VS-700 and Octa-Capture ... anything else wouldn't make sense from a marketing stand-point

It says expandable by another studio capture, would be nice if you can use it with the Octa or another interface. It probably will be....I hope so. Looks nice, when/if I need to upgrade this will be the interface :-)

Due to the next-gen innards in the STUDIO-CAPTURE, it can only be expanded, or be used to expand, other STUDIO-CAPTUREs. This is the situation at this time. Whether this will change in the future is under current investigation.

I certainly understand the desire to have it work with previous Roland interfaces and we certainly share this desire. I'll report back with whatever information I can acquire on the subject.

Not as desirable to me to purchase if I can't expand my VS100. Thanks for the input.

When do I get to test one, Brandon?  Send me an octo capture and I'll test it w/ that, too!

The only qualm I have is I turned off the auto-off feature. The computer does not control the power of the SCs. I boot first then turn on the SCs. You must turn off the SCs before you power down the computer. Otherwise, the SCs will not shutdown.
