Alex, now that I see your footer is updated, I have to ask this out of curiosity. What is the advantage of using Maschine with this project over Geist?

No idea to be honest! There may well be none, I've only dabbled in giest for about an hour.
I'll let you know when I regard myself as proficient.... I'm still learning here... :)
Cheers...

Was just my morbid curiosity getting to me again. Geist even has a nice little plug called "Spitter" to feed its sampler from any track (in case you want the sounds out of a piece of hardware). It is worth taking another gander at since you can insert it as a soft synth and insert all output tracks in one shot (and they work).

I'm able to use Maschine 2.0 as a VST with Sonar X3D as the sequencer. Maschine drums all responding to one midi channel and Maschine synth sounds responding to various midi channels. But only using my keyboard as the controller. I have not figured out how to do this with the Maschine controller. I have the Mikro Mk2. Why do I care? Because I like to program the drums using the keypads. Anyone have a clue?

So we have a separate thread for this:

I just want to follow this thread up.

With the introduction of Maschine 2.1.1 there is no need to transpose any more like I was doing (see my previous posts). Right click on a group, select Group MIDI Batch Setup and then Sounds to MIDI notes. All MIDI notes will go to one track not multiple tracks (and will be displayed as different notes). Yey :). I am hoping this will simplify my template.
