I'm saying I want to use my MAudio keystation 88, which works perfectly, AND the Mikro Mk2 which won't work. I want Maschine to act like any other VST without jumping through so many hoops. I use the MK2 in pad mode.

I have the same M-Audio unit and use it to drive Maschine. Have you set the K-Pro to be active in Maschine? From the Maschine File menu select Audio | MIDI settings. Go to the MIDI tab and make sure the item that represents the K-Pro is On (click on the right hand column). When that is set for each sound in the group set the MIDI source to the K-Pro.

Thanks Mike but the Keystation works perfectly as I stated above. The Maschine controller is the culprit..(actually it's the Maschine 2.0 software that's the culprit).

I think Maschine 2.1.1 has resolved the issue.cheers..

The problem is your trying to use maschine differently then it was desined to work..Anyway i belive maschine has a function to send midi out in its normal mode that can be recorded by the host daw.ill have to get back to you on specifics because i dont know off hand i just use the maschines sequencer to make multiple patterns then send midi from my host daw to select which scene to fire when i want it to.itherway your prolly gana keep having to jump thru hoops like u said.but once i find out ill post it

MIDI batch setup has returned in 2.1.1 so it should work now.

I know this is a SONAR forum, but can someone point me in the right direction with a Maschine question:  When loading a VSTi like EZDrummer 2 in Maschine, I'm not able to play it with pads because I dont know how to remap the mascine pads.  I can play it with a keyboard, but not as convenient.    As a workaround, I have been loading EZD2 into Sonar and using the maschine as a midi controller, mapped to EZD and recording midi in sonar.
 
I'd like to be able to do this in maschine.
