ADDICTIVE DRUMS DOESN'T INSTANTIATE

Win 8.1 64bit, SONAR X3e, Roland Quad Capture, i7 3.9GHz, MIDIman 4X4

Addictive Drummer is installed but not properly according to an alert message that comes up when I try to instantiate it. Cannot use it as stand alone either. I need to uninstall AD but it's not in the control panel list. I tried to reinstall AD over the present installation but it refused as I expected.
How do I get AD working? Simple as that. I recently re-formatted my hard drive and re-installed all of my programs. Is it true, what I've read, that we are allowed only one installation of AD?

yes, the online installer handles the install. the install is computer-specific. you can't install on 2 pcs, but it maintains your product on that pc.
