Here is some more silliness from yours truly.  As the description on the SoundClick site says, there are no social commentaries on this number.  It is just meant to be a fun little song about a hapless guy with a cheating woman (a well worn subject).

I would appreciate any feedback that you might have.  I hope you enjoy it.

Fun indeed Freddy - great song and I'm sure it will strike a chord (pardon the musical pun) with most men around here.
Mixwise, I would like to have heard that walking bass a little louder.

Nice bluuuuuuesy number. You have a cool song with great chops, and some super heavy slapback! Vocals totally work for me. It has a roadhouse feel and I like the mix a lot . . .

I think I may have commented before on how Soundclick flanges up your cymbals? I think once you solve the flangey cymbal issue, your stuff will really slay 'em. Or, it's possible that you intentionally put a flanger on your cymbals, in which case nevermind!

the guitar seems pretty pushed up, maybe limited or super compressed? I can hear a little crunchy digital overs in a few spots.

nice one!

cheers,
-Tom

Have to agree with Tom there is definitely something causing some edgy distortion in there somewhere.

Other than that it has that Freddy touch thanks for sharing.

Thanks Daryl!  I appreciate your comments and have taken your advice and brought up the bass a bit.
Hi Tom and Wookiee.  Thanks for listening and for your comments.  Between my tired old ears and cheap equipment, I miss a lot of the nuances that I should catch.  I used a commercial loop for the drums and it was gassed up pretty high --- so, I pulled out the file and substituted another loop with the same beat but without the FX.   I also changed the EQ around the 15 kHz level.  I hope that this helps.  Thanks again for your insight!

Hey Freddie, I like the sound of the vocals -- that reverb on it somehow went well with the electric guitar sound -- a groovy blend so to speak.  Overall, everything was mixed well and sounded good -- vocal was spot on.  My only crit is that the bass could be walkin' a little bit more.  :)

Great stuff. I expected another song by a similar name to emerge, but this was better, a pleasant surprise. Mix was good, perhaps needs louder a bass but I am not sure with my lofi equipment (Sennheiser hd407s).

Great job with this.  I liked it more and more as the song played out.  I especially liked the cool, "Talking Heads," sounding pre-chorus.  I'm a bass player so I would like to hear the bass more active but that's just me.  The bass on the pre-chorus when you're doing a run off the B chord is great!  Love that.
