Hallo,
“Reflection in you” is an erotic rock song, written in the ’80’s. With no more than a plastic washing-up bowl, two water buckets, some drumsticks and a broken hi-hat gotten from my friend Ton, an old guitar and an Akai tape recorder. It took over 8 sound-on-sound takes to record the song. As a result there were no dynamics left. I had just left the band RDL McAllen. Despite that, the singer Jan came all the way over to help me out by singing the song.
Now, about 40 years later I managed to remake the song all by myself. Only a computer, a keyboard, microphone and a guitar were needed and of course with Cakewalk. Still there is some dynamic left. However, with an, in those days usual tempo change included, the remake is a nearly copy of the original. Just sounds better.
The lyrics tell about love. Not in a romantic ‘I love you so’ angle, but about the deed ‘it’ self. So there are no clarifying pictures here. But I sincerely hope I can leave that to your own imagination.
