and I can drink beer, I'm a real bass player ...

Most bass players Ive known were better at that than they were at playing a real bass.

of course, that's the only prerequisite you need when you want to play bass in a band.

and, ironically, the better you become at playing bass, the fewer notes you play, which leaves even more time for beer ...

DISCLAIMER : maybe its just me and my opinion, and we know about opinions

BUT

a modeled Bass? I cant see in the context of most mixes where a sampled bass with articulation or without wouldnt pass muster and not need modeling

Guitar on the other hand I would welcome and think about purchasing , thats where the rubber hits the road and you separate the men from the boys ,even though the current context of sampled guitar libraries are quite nice still they are sampled..

once again my pennies worth

I suppose IK might have some modeled pianos and keyboards up in the sleeve, but it's hard to compete with Modartt and AAS, so they released bass to fill the niche and see how well this will be received. For the price of Trillian many users might prefer Trillian. Acoustic Samples has an even better offer with the Bass Collection, which includes upright and fretless basses.

Pedro ne Moshpit be Moshkito
It is NOT the notes you play, or the beat you play them on

its the note you DON'T play anywhere that matter, unless they are heavily FX'd bass notes, then play the shizz out if them EVERYWHERE
