Good song Daryl and well done on all the instrumentation/performances. You mixes are very good and I love the amount of clarity you bring out. Personally, I'd like to hear the bass a bit more prominent, but doesn't take anything away from he song. Well done!! Keep up the good work and keep churning them out mate. :)

Thanks mate - you're the best.
How is the studying going?

Not as well as I wanted to Daryl.....I failed the 6 hr. exam. No worries.....will have to redouble my efforts and do a better job on the next take.
BTW, if you do have any need for a little noodling or soloing on a track, I'd love to contribute.....(I remember you mentioned something like this back in Dec..).

This is a very, very catchy tune. The kind that stays in your head and you hum at 2:00 in the morning. I like it a lot.
A couple things:
1. I would be interested to hear this with different basses. Nothing wrong with the current version, but just to compare.
2. To build a little expectation for the listener, It might be interesting to not bring the bass in until about 35 seconds into the tune, or maybe have it play the first 15 seconds (intro),  drop out, and then back in at 35. This is just a stylistic thing, not a critique. Great song!

Catchy, well played and arranged, and the mix is crystal clear.   Sounds like Daryl to me.

A touch of classic Daryl song writing and tune-smithing, interest topic, well constructed lyrics and all in all well captured.  If I had one nit and it is only a tiny nit, it sounded a little like the bass honked in a couple of places in the first minute.  Other than that

thanks Wookster - I really appreciate it your furryness.
I was going for the 'honk' - didn't you like it?

when I see you post a new song, I run don't walk to listen to it. Great mixing chops meets catchy tunesmithery. I thought the bass was just fine but on the louder side of just fine.

For an ending, I'd prefer a fade out during a chorus, but I bet you thought of that one already.

As you Brits say, "brilliant."

cheers,
-Tom

If the honk was intendead then I for one Am all for artistic honks .  As I said only a tiny little insignificant nit.

I can certainly here that British feel in this one. Has all the elements of a nice Beatles song. I could almost hear some ohhhs and ahhs in there. Loved both song and mix!

Thanks Tim - praise indeed.
