PS credible material. I would like to hear some lol

Obviously I am not Chucky, but I have heard one or 2 of his songs (he must have had links in his sig previously) and I must say what I heard was pretty much excellent stuff all round IMO.

Meng seems to be working on a different level than the users here.  He is talking about having a statement and plan ready about the "new" DAW in 4-6 weeks.  A plan.  Not the thing itself.  It seems some here think a new rewrite, with notation and every bug fix, along with a "P5" emulation, is coming out in a few weeks.

You're right about the announcement being the only thing that Meng actually mentioned a timeline for (coming within a month/month-and-a-half), but there is the matter of the new iteration coming "much sooner than expected".

Now, this is just me making a stab at what could reasonably be "expected", but given the circumstances I wouldn't normally expect a new post-acquisition product iteration sooner than maybe the beginning of next year.

If it's to be "much sooner", then I'm thinking more of a summer release - perhaps around June. All of this is conjecture, of course, but given that the product was in active development previously that should give a reasonable run up to integrate any outstanding features or fixes from the previous team, plus do a rebrand and perhaps a spot of integration with BandLab's existing toolset.

We should also bear in mind that if the thing weren't coming within the next several months, there would likely be no announcement whatsoever - other than perhaps a generic statement along the lines of "we'll be done with finalizing the transfer of the acquired properties within the next 4-6 weeks; we'll outline a roadmap for the future then".

I like your Hypothesis. However, I think I'm closer to the correct information than you are. We have to realise that many people have/or are using other DAWs time is of the essence.

One could ask you the same question.
Is the music in your signature "creditable" ?

I mean I have 200 more listens than you do
https://soundcloud.com/charlie-roy/the-elements-of-love
but I don't consider that "creditable".

Aren't we both amateurs ? There is no creditable in amateur.

I can feel this conversation escalating and im partially responsible.
So I will no longer respond.

My fault really, I need to just ignore threads like this. It's none of my business what you choose to post on this forum.

I'm sorry, personal bickering level has exceeded design tolerance.
