Hi guys,
I search for Cakewalk (or Sonar) macro that delete sequential repetitions of equal values at different times on controller 11, for example:

Measuse      Chn   Kind        Values
2:1:060     1     Note       C6                    109 4:030
2:3:080     1     Contrl     11-Express          127
2:3:095     1     Contrl     11-Express          127
2:3:110     1     Contrl     11-Express          127
2:4:005     1     Contrl     11-Express          127
2:4:015     1     Contrl     11-Express          127
2:4:025     1     Contrl     11-Express          127
2:4:080     1     Contrl     11-Express          125
2:4:085     1     Contrl     11-Express          125
2:4:090     1     Contrl     11-Express          125
2:4:095     1     Contrl     11-Express          125
2:4:100     1     Contrl     11-Express          120
2:4:105     1     Contrl     11-Express          120
2:4:110     1     Contrl     11-Express          120
2:4:115     1     Contrl     11-Express          119
3:1:000     1     Contrl     11-Express          116
3:1:010     1     Contrl     11-Express          114
3:1:015     1     Contrl     11-Express          114
3:1:020     1     Contrl     11-Express          114
3:1:025     1     Contrl     11-Express          108
3:1:030     1     Contrl     11-Express          105
3:1:035     1     Contrl     11-Express          99
3:1:040     1     Contrl     11-Express          94
3:1:045     1     Contrl     11-Express          90
3:1:050     1     Contrl     11-Express          89
3:1:115      1      Contrl 11-Express   127

The "UNDUPE.CAL" macro did not serve to resolve, and THINCTRL.CAL is not able to identify sequences of equal values at different times.

Any idea? I don't know construct an CAL (macro) for this case. You know how to build?

I'm waiting for a more practical solution.

Thank you very much.

First how did you create the data? Is this sent from a midi controller?
CC 11 is reset to PG 0 ,correct? I've never used it in 30 years of midi work so not sure what it's really used for.
Cakewalks midi editing is not really all that super detailed. Every once in a while I find something missing my old Atari software ( DrT KCS) did.
Which is a solution to your problem, You might find a freeware sequencer midi editor that can do what you want.

For now why not just manually delete it if it bugs you. You can change the event view to controllers only so the notes are hidden, and drag the mouse over them in bulk to delete. Been there, done that.. but  personally unless it's causing your track to play wrong I would ignore it. I don't tend to loose sleep over what Midi does behind my back anymore now that data storage is what it is.. On my Atari floppy disks I would have worried... ;)

Hello,

I get ready MIDI files, where I make the necessary changes to provide a Karaoke. This company requires me to reduce as much as possible the final size of MIDI files, deleting excessive repetitive events (such as sequences of CC11-Expression, which occur in most MIDI files that I get to edit).

For this task, I use Cakewalk 5.0 with "Thin Controller Data.CAL". But beyond that, I need a CAL Macro able to identify and eliminate contiguous Expression sequencies of equal values.

Deleting them manually takes a lot of my time, especially when has more MIDI tracks with several endless sequences of Expression.

I don't know any other MIDI sequencer capable of automating tasks with the same power of CAL (Cakewalk Application Language)
