I hope someone can help me out.  I have Sonar X1 and I am attempting to use TouchDAW to control it.  I can get mostly everything to operate except the faders in TouchDAW.  TouchDAW is based on the Mackie Control surface via WIFI.  The faders in TouchDAW respond to Sonar but not vice versa.  Has anyone ever heard of Sonar not responding to fader control from Mackie Control?

I assume that you've got the basic conectivity working from your question above,  but I wonder if you have both channels set up  there's an A & a B channel: 1, to send from your  smart device to sonar,  and 2, to receive  from sonar (to display on your smartphone device).   Are both channels defined and operating correctly?  Do you have the Bonjour service running on your DAW so that the MIDI channels are being broadcast on your local network?

I have everything communicating except my faders in touchDAW cant control the faders in Sonar.  Are there any special Fader settings in Sonar? The faders in TouchDAW respond when I move Sonar faders with a mouse.  I can also control the faders from Touchdaw with the rotary volume knob. Just not the faders..Its driving me nuts.  Let me know how yours work and thanks for the assistance

That's interesting that your faders are not responding to touchdaw but the rotary knobs are.
The first thing I got working on my configuration was the faders, so I'll have to do a bit of experimentation to see what I have working and what isn't. I started with a blank project with no midi defined instruments, so that may play a part. I'll let you know what I find out.
