  • [Solved] Slate Digital Trigger 2 64-bit not showing in plugin list

Hi!
I've been running X3 32-bit and decided to give 64-bit a go since most plugins now have 64-bit versions.
So I installed X3e x64 alongside my 32 installation no prob.

I made sure my Waves was good, Melodyne, etc etc.  No probs.  And JBridge seems to work better than I remember as well :)

However, I use Slate Digital products on every mix.  So I installed Trigger 64-bit and noticed that I can't get it to show up without the jBridge wrapper.  So I assume it's launching the 32-bit version.

Weird part, in the Plugin Manager window it shows that trigger_2.dll is coming from my x64 directory.  Both Program Files(x86) and Program Files 64-bit have, in fact, trigger_2.dll installed but I can't get the 64-bit version to launch.

Any ideas?  Sorry for the long-winded story.

Try this first: Move the 32-bit version out of its folder, then re-scan.

I did this and Plugin Manager shows the plugin and I move it to the list, save, restart Sonar (because I often have to in order to see the updated plugin list for some reason).  I still see Trigger 2 being shown in the jBridge wrapper.

I even went so far as to move the x86 version to the x64 directory to see if perhaps Slate was installing things backwards but no luck.

I'm at a loss.  I guess I can use the 32-bit version, but I also have VCC and VTM from Slate and I want to use the 64-bit plugs if available.

I don't use jBrdige but I notice there is a "Load using jBridge wrapper" option in the Plug-in Properties for each plug-in in the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager. Is that option enabled for the plug-in in question? I believe jBridge can wrap both 32 and 64bit plug-ings.

Yes!  I thought it wouldn't open it in the 32-bit wrapper if it was a 64-bit plugin.  I also didn't realize that was even an option for 64-bit plugs.
Man... thank you!

Unlike BitBridge, jBridge is not just a 32bit VST wrapper for 64bit hosts. My understanding is jBridge will wrap 64bit plug-ins for 32bit hosts.

100% correct now that I know this. Once again thank you for the eye opener :)
