I've just upgraded my East West player and now the projects i have using the older EW version wont play.Do I have to put insert a new track using the newer EW player and copy the old track into this one to get it to work or is there a better way of doing this.

Wish I could help you. When Play 4 first came out, EW posted a notice that one might want to postpone upgrading if you were in the middle of a project. I ignored the warning, installed it and found nothing but trouble with existing projects. I was so freaked out that I didn't even try and troubleshoot. I immediately dialed back to the last version of 3, figuring EastWest knew there might be problems or they wouldn't have included the warning. 
 
As of this post, I've seen no reason to try their later revisions of Play 4, since I've heard of no happy news concerning existing projects. I'd be interested to hear the experience of others with this matter. 

And, as of yet, I think only StormDrum 3 requires Play 4. I'm holding off until I absolutely have to. I have heard the same things as Mel and I don't want a repeat of the headaches I had when Play 3 first came out (anyone remember those days?)
