very cool Tim - light and airy mix.
Are you playing all of the instruments again? You are a clever chap

Good stuff and like the space you have created.  Nice Celtic melodies too.  As others have commented on the bass...it seems like a 2 bar cut and paste affair....and maybe a tad robotic sounding...like it's "JUST" missing the groove.  I really like the high drone with the verb tails...or whatever I'm hearing.  Subtle, hard to tell what it is...but sounds great.  Good recipe.

Always love listening to your tunes Tim and they wouldn't be out of place on some Dungeons and Dragons type fantasy movie. I couldn't objectively comment on the mix as not listening to this on my studio monitors.

Cian - there is an actual song called The Cliffs of Moher

NOTE- If you listened before you might need to refresh your browser to hear the new mix.

Oh that explains it ...I heard the old one the other day  ...generally I wont comment the first time I hear a song .
I'm glad I do things that way ....it gave me a chance to listen with fresh ears at a time when I'm able to offer a comment.
Yeah , you put a lot of extra work into this mix , it sounds much better than the first one I heard
What instrument are you using ? I want one ...please tell me it is an acoustic fretted instrument and not a sample based one ...even if you have to tell me lies I want one

I dug your song ...it's loose in a few places phrase wise and there may be more you can do to dial it in ..
regardless of all that ...I dug what you were playing and saying in the music ....

Hi Tim ,best wishes for the year to come, got some free time so I can walk around and instinctivly I come and give an ear to your productions. So always the " magical" celtic vibe though I'm not that found of the bass( to my ear it sounds almost as vst😔Shame on me I 'm sure I'm wrong.." The beat goes on and I'm so wrong..."
Cheers.
Olivier.

As another person wrote on SoundCloud - "sparkling tune".       Your acoustic instruments always do sparkle. Mix-wise I'd like to hear the percussion a little clearer, but otherwise I think it works.

Nicely done Tim. I'd like that bouzouki right up front and centre personally, it sounds a little subdued against the synths. The bassline could use some more movement to compliment the melody.

I'm glad it's not a song about molars.

I must have heard mix #2, because the bass seems perfectly present to me. Tim, such a smooth effort here! Makes me want to bust out my old Planxty records!

I liked the beginning, where for the first 8 bars or so I couldn't tell what the rhythm was going to be, then it falls into place. I like songs that do that, it's tricky fun.

Well mixed methinks and nice tunage! I have not been to Moher, Ireland, Europe in general, or really anywhere it would seem, but your song and that picture definitely go together!
