I did an SSD upgrade on my desktop after Christmas (Samsung EVO 1TB).  The process was *reasonably* uneventful but I used a 3rd party tool to handle to transfer and another tool to fix the SSD alignment, which you'll likely need post-install if moving from a mechanical drive.  At work now so don't remember what they were - but they were the ones all the YT folk seem to use.

Sonar didn't need any re-registering, but most of the other VST stuff did (Arturia, Waves, Omnisphere etc) so make sure you are ready for that - if you can, shift the licences to the cloud first and then back in.

some software licensing is so arcane it looks for the hard drive serial number to authorize , so even if you clone it will loose the authorization.
There is a piece of software out there I remember coming across that lets you change the SSD serial number to the one you replaced.
