davlav4210...Is there something I need to do to enable the other synths that you say comes with Sonar?
Hi,
Davlav - You're at square one of Sonarland, and it's a long winding path ahead of you. Slowly, but surely, you'll grasp how to use the program to create the music you want. And look at how great this Forum is - You've already gotten expert advice from some of the most patient and knowledgeable Forum members.
It's difficult to pass on info to newbies, because some of the basics are still not understood, and of course more experienced users who are willing to help still can't be expected to re-write the manual.
Start working your way through the manual and tutorials that came with your basic version of Sonar. Save up your studio budget pennies for an audio interface, because, as Bob Bone says in post #10, you really need to have one.
Your basic version does have the TTS-1 General MIDI synth people have referred to here. In fact, your version of Sonar has 12 virtual instruments, including the Studio Instruments suite. -- But now, you need to start studying on how to use them. It's really beyond the scope of any thread to explain everything - it would call for pages and pages of text with information that's already available in the manuals and guides Cakewalk has written.
Good adventure ahead!--- Have fun, see you here on the Forum.
