Is it possible to put folders within folders?
I have a Track folder for each string section and would like to place them all within a 'Global' Strings Folder whilst still maintaining the seperate folders within.
I couldnt see how its done, if indeed it is possible.

Cheers

I don't think so. Maybe you could use screensets for this?

Nope. At the moment folders are single level, non-nestable.

I'm starting to find I dupe my work when making busses that match the folder structure...makes me think of Reaper's implementation where they ARE the same thing. Or at least the "folders" have full track abilities: fx bins, volumes, etc.

Nested folders has been a popular feature request for as long as I can remember.

Although that's only part of the solution - as ...Wicked points out above- what is really needed (IMHO) are nested folders that have track (sub-mix) attributes - volume, pan etc.
A folder containing eg, all drums (drums in turn has nested folders of toms, snares, overheads, kicks, cymbals, percussion etc) and folders behave the same way in both console and track view. Collapse console view to folder level, and console strip for "drums" pans, etc as any othe strip but controls the submix.
