Yeah, i'll do that next time it happens. It doesn't happen that often but when it does it's been painful enough.

X3 is a good upgrade but without knowing more about the stability issue, upgrading may not be the solution. I would not recommend throwing money at the problem just yet.




Definitely true but I was ready to do a catastrophic wipe and reinstall because of the issues I was having. They all disappeared with X3. I have some procedural issues but I think they are learning curve based and not outright program quirks. One of which I'm experiencing right now... blern.

I would not depend on autosave. Just keybind the letter 'S' or another letter to save and press it after every edit or when ever you want to save.
 
As with everyone else, Fix your crashing issue. Sonar should not be hanging and crashing. It is most likely a driver issue and/or a hardware issue. Its something that is connected into your PC

Ye I do alot of saving aswell but sometimes you just forget. Better to have it on than not to I reckon.

+1    I rely on a combination of AutoSave and habitual Ctrl+S use.
