Although my music room is isolated from neighbors and therefore I don't have to worry about the "Noise" when mixing or playing. It's difficult to mix my songs since even though my wife loves my music, hearing something played over and over again would test here patience with my hobby.
Using headphones is okay for mixing the "big chunks", but what I really need to use of course are the monitors to do it right... or at least as best as I can.
I was talking shop with one of my friendly sales guys at Sweetwater and he suggested using Redline Monitor
http://www.112db.com/redline/monitor/. Sweetwater doesn't carry it but 112db offers a 60 day trial period. (Pretty generous!)
When using headphones, the software mixes some of the right signal into the left ear and vice versa. I tried it out and it seems to work fairly well with my untrained ears.
Anyone use this product or an alternative that they could recommend?
