To bring up the full menu structure in a 64bit environment?

Someone told me on here ages ago which I appreciate but I've forgotten.  There is a magic button you press when launching the interface of a 32bit VST in a 64 bit environment that brings up a floating menu.

Please help me out

Thanks

Are you asking about the VST header for the plug-in? If so, hold the SHIFT key when opening the plug-in UI. The VST header usually opens up behind the plug-in UI.

Thanks that was the one but it didn't seem to solve my problem. I'm trying to access the side chain menu in Stutter Edit so I can only hear the effected drum loop not the original drum loop alongside the stutter edit effects.  Anyone know how to do this?

I have stutter edit in the FX bin on a drum loop audio track. I have set up a separate midi track with the output set to stutter edit and it is effecting the drum track OK but still playing the orginal track as well when all I want to hear is the stutter edit effected track in full and then record my automation via midi

Thanks in advance

You should be using 64bit Stutter Edit. I did not know there was a side chain menu in Stutter Edit. The plug-in has dry gain setting (bottom left of effect gain) which may be sending the original track trough.

EDIT: I see a reference to side chain in Logic's header, this has nothing to do with SONAR.

The video is using Logic. The side chain in the video is part of the Logic's routing not a feature in Stutter Edit. The routing used in the video is not necessary in SONAR. Unlike Logic, SONAR can apply Stutter Edit directly to an instrument track.

Still not clear on what the issue is. MIDI note on, Stutter Edit plays the gesture bound to the note, no MIDI note data or MIDI note off and the Stutter Edit effect is off and unaffected track plays through. Only when the Dry Gain is on does Stutter Edit mix in the dry signal when the effect is playing. This is the case with the video too once the Stutter Edit bus output is turned off.
