Anyone know how I can get this back?  I'm willing to buy it.  I've installed X3 on a new machine- fresh install.  Of course the Lexicon 'verb isn't bundled anymore.  I have a client who fell in LOVE with a particular preset I had on this plugin.  He's back in the studio and I'd like to try to re-create it.  Do any of the Lexicon Native bundles include the "hit vocal" or presets like those in the Pantheon that shipped with X1?  Thanks

Drag out your old pre-X series (SONAR 3 through 8.5 start with SONAR 5 for 64bit) SONAR DVD, run the advanced install and select the Lexicon Pantheon. It was never part of the X series.

Ah!  ...you're right I'm sure...  It came with 8x?!  I'll try it but I thought I read somewhere the license wouldn't work in X3.

No license problem. I do not use it but it is installed on my PC and I just loaded it. It is a DX effect; make sure to install the 64bit version in order to run in a 64bit host. I don't know of a bundled plug-in that has ever had it's license expire.

When I bought X1, it was sold to me as 8.5 with an upgrade, so I got Pantheon and I use it all the time. (In fact, I'm using it right now.) It is on the 8.5 discs.

Hi Sacalait,

Can you let us in on the secret - which Pantheon preset did your client fall in love with?

When I progressed from Pro Audio 9 to Sonar 3 many years back, I really didn't get on with the Lexicon at all - instead I found about 3 or 4 decent free VSTs (including the excellent 'Glaceverb') to use.

Now I've just taken the mighty step from Sonar 3 to X3, I've got Breverb which, so far, has impressed me hugely.

I'm working on a slow instrumental at the moment and accidentally put a Breverb preset on the Truepianos default and it produced the most wonderful & haunting sound...

Don't take Breverb lightly.  I think it's far superior to Pantheon, though I loved Pantheon and used it a lot.  Surely, there will be a preset that comes close to what you're looking for, if not, it's easily tweakable.

Thank you scook!

Frink! I don't remember which preset it was based on.  I do know I had a reverb time setting of less than 1000 ms.  If I recall it, I'll let you know!  He's said over and over again his recorded vocal sounded "live!"

Lynn!  Man. I'm trying to like Breverb but every time I put an instance of it in it ALWAYS seems overly bright- brittle-ish...  I know I could tame that by using some eq on the reverb but...  I have SONNOX Oxford Reverb installed so I've been going to that mostly.

Wow, I don't see Pantheon being discussed very often around these parts!

I used the **** crap out of that plugin in older SONAR versions.   One tip I would offer - that I think is still possible - is to use the surround version instead of the stereo version, even when in a stereo track.   I know it seems like an odd thing to do, but I always found that it actually seemed to blend better that way.

And of course now I'm going to have to use it again...
