So I'm grabbing up any good deal I can for PC interfaces, and I think I may have enough now. I have settled on a M-audio 1010LT, and a Roland SI-24 w/presonus v-fire to connect it. I like the fact if I find another SI-24 that it can be connected to the v-fire.

Will I have any issues using the SI-24 and 1010LT in tandem? I like the exteral SI-24 as a drum mixer...plus the transport controls; and I got a smoking deal on it...lol

Any drawbacks?

Have you used the V-Fire?

No, not yet (Haven't got it in the mail)

The mixer uses an R-bus, and I couldn't find one for less than $250. The V-fire is discontinued, but it looks to be the solution (Plus I got it for $85)

Supposedly, the mic-pre's on the mixer are clean, but the phantom power only has a 15V option from what I have found. Unfortunately I will be hooking everything up blind. I can't find manuals on any of it.

Hi Ron,

FWIW, The V-Fire has been fairly problematic.
At that price it's not much of a risk... but I'd definitely be thinking about a "plan-B" option.

I recently got a SI-24 and RPC-1. Played around with it a bit but it's an older desktop PC that the RPC-1 is installed in. So I then got a Presonus V-Fire to use the SI-24 with my laptop. Using Sonar 7 Producer version. Playing around with it and trying to get it working.

At one point I was working with a Roland VM3100Pro (?)  mixer with an M-Audio built RPC-1 - was a Delta R-Bus card I believe.

I THINK that the M-Audio PCI Delta series of cards were groupable with normal ASIO drivers, and you may be able to use the Delta 1010LT together with a Delta RBUS card if you have enough PCI slots- and if you can find a Delta RBUS card :)
I'd try to verify this though before chasing wild geese.

Using ASIO4ALL drivers should also allow you to use both the VFire and the 1010LT.
