Februum - The Purification

Captured as it happened and somewhat a little rubato Thanks for listening.

Captured as it happened, huh..  Well, it sounds to me like it happened pretty well.

If this was just a free-form improvisation then it was a nice one.   Wide and spacious too.

That was it Steve the basic motif has been hanging around for some years but I just hit record and played no real idea of what I was going to play or where it would end up.  Thanks for the listen and comment.

ah...I've finally found the synth forum.  Gosh...this is wonderful.  You gotta tell me what synths you're using.  On the fly, sometimes feels best.  Did you go for the "live VSTi recording" that Sonar just came out with?  I think that was a great addition to Sonar.
Man...the space in this is totally overwhelming in cans.  I need a beach, a laptop and Sonar...and listen to this on regular intervals.
Nice stuff Wooks

Mixmkr thanks for the listen and comment, Korg O5R/W provided the main feel with Arturia's Wurlitzer V to add some bass weight.  I recorded the Korg live then copied the midi to the Wurlitzer no editing, no anything other than a little PC channel, comp and EQ to tame.  I then added just a little Rematrix reverb across both, on a common bus, to put them in the same space.

Sounds mighty fine. Great improvisation job. A bit like ambient style? Very relaxing which I find always useful. Also sounds joyful IMO.

I like this Mr Wookiee .

There is a nice balance happening between other worldly synth sounds mixed in with some very classic Motown type of synth sounds ...good one   ..

Thanks Kakku, cold but joyful was the intention.

Kenny thank you for having a listen and comment. Only two synths involved.
