I see Bitwig more as an EDM environment than a DAW. Which is why I'm out.

I'd have to disagree. The Bitwig platform is close to Ableton Live and quite a few people use that to create alot of other music than EDM. Daniel James comes to mind as an Ableton user.

Personally I've been intrueged by Bitwig and will probably atleast demo it. Might make an excellent secondary DAW (hell no am I giving up Sonar).

Was intrigued as well. Bought it. Never really got into its workflow. Did like the 32-bit capability, though. Didn't like them catering for Windoze tablets and leaving us Appletons in the cold.
Main reason to get it above Ableton was its GUI. Always found Ableton a bit too Bauhaus.
Still hanging on to Bitwig's 8-track version, though. Got a few of them for sketching.
But in the end, Logic Pro and MainStage rule my orchard.

Just saw that you're from Finland, Kuusniemi.
Taught some classes in Rovaniemi once.
Everybody was drunk, which was nice.

If they update the free 8-Track version to v2 and it remains free? Then I'll give it a look. Free peek, right?
