The full saga is over in the Coffee House - http://forum.cakewalk.com/Trying-to-buy-X3-during-the-Savings-Festival-no-luck-m3046228.aspx - but I'm reposting here after being advised that nobody would see it there. The summary is:
  1. Tried to buy Sonar upgrade during sale - was told to contact support
  2. First link for contacting support didn't work
  3. Second link for contacting support produced an error
I would love it if someone at Cakewalk would look into this.

Try sending a Private Message to Noel and/or Ryan, from Cakewalk.  They may poke into the forum over the weekend, and have also been pretty good at getting these kinds of things resolved.

If no word back from them by Monday 1:00 - try calling support.  :)

I'm happy to wait until Monday to hear back from them - the time-sensitive bit finished yesterday anyway. I can't phone support though - international calls are too expensive!

I understand - I still recommend that you shoot a PM to Noel/Ryan if no response by Monday, as there may a larger issue they would want to deal with than a single purchase failure.  :)

I went through exactly the same link in the first place, and encountered the problems I posted on the other thread. And there's little point me trying it again now since the price has gone up.

Cakewalk can certainly honor the price you tried to purchase the product for while it was on sale.

You may well need to contact them.

While I understand that an overseas call would be a bit pricey, I DID suggest you send a Private message to Noel Bothwick and/or Ryan Munnis.

I have seen them jump in and fix other orders that were having trouble in the past, and do not doubt that they could and would jump in and assist you with this one.

Soooo, rather than let another day go by, why not construct and send them a message, asking for some assistance with this?  There is clearly some sort of glitch with the order page/process.

Bob, I was replying to the other poster, not you. I will PM one of those people as soon as I have some spare time to give the matter my full attention. Cheers!

I got it - I wasn't meaning any 'tone' in my other post - just reinforcing the PM concept.  :)

I hope they get it sorted out for you.

X3 ROCKS!

Have sent the PM. Unfortunately I can't even log into the Cakewalk Store now since I asked for a password reset and it never came through! I think someone needs to go through and reboot all their servers... ;)
