Hi Wookiee,

Sonar X3e's plug in validation process is causing some Arturia plug ins to crash.

We're currently communicating with Sonar, they told us this problem would be fixed in the next update.

If you want further details about this issue, I'll invite you to contact Sonar's technical support.

Best regards,

Jerome

Hi Wookiee,

Unfortunately Oberheim SEM V isn't compatible with Sonar X3e for now.

To run Oberheim under your DAW, I'll suggest you to downgrade to the previous Sonar patch.

Best regards,

Jerome

Interestingly if you should happen to own Analogue lab or Audio Lab you load SEM V with in them and edit patches.

Go figure

Are the "lab" versions like minihosts? Maybe loading into a subhost inside sonar might work

Oh and Cakewalk support have failed to even acknowledge, (i.e. an email to say yes we know or we need more information or it is all Arturia fault), my the error even though they have asked on the support form.

Interestingly also "The next update" will there be an X3f or are we taking X4

IMHO it's update x3f, upgrade x4, but that's open to marketing debate

I looked at the 2 links in the other above post, and see that I had already confirmed earlier that there was an issue with Arturia - I must be getting old, because I have zero recollection of posting that.

Yikes!

It may well be some Sonar quirk, as I am able to load the same synths that fail in Sonar into Forte (a VST performance host from Brainspawn), and they all load there just fine.

Well, when I go to look it up, I get:

"The Internet is Broken

Well at least our little corner of it is."

In addition, I want to discuss the Arturia response that was pasted above in this thread, so I need to call them.  :)

You get internet is broken if you type in the letters. Just type in the numbers into Cake problem reporter. Their form validation is kinda screwed, and I cant understand why they just don't just strip out the letters automatically if that's what they require.Ta
