Just out of curiosity...I pulled R-Mix into a project in X3 and the wave screen on the GUI was blank/white.  Does R-Mix work in X3?  The audio was altered by opening some of the presets....but nothing shows up on the GUI screen.

Works for me, GUI and all.

Hmmm....will have to dig deeper into it.  I've never really used it in a project, only played with it a couple of times in the past...but not since I installed X3.

It even looks a bit different than I remember it in X2.  Will have to try opening it in X2 and see if there actually is a difference.

I don't think it's installed in X3. If you have R-Mix, it will be the version that was installed in X2, so it shouldn't be, or work, any different. If it doesn't, then there may have been something that broke during the install of X3. It's not unheard of.

I and others have posted about this bug in the past.

It seems related to memory use, as more memry is used this bug can appear.

Afaik R mix is a 32 bit application only,
so if are you using it via bit bridge you can try J bridge in X 3 64 bit, or?

R- mix is running here really smooth.

Have fun

The "R-Mix SONAR Edition" bundled with X2 Producer is a native 32 and 64bit VST plug-in.

Hi, Ted. Just reporting that I have used it in X3 and it worked as expected... *mostly. I installed X3 over top of X2 (and X1) and it showed up in my VSTs without any fiddling (just saying that because maybe you installed it in another manner).

*When I say "mostly" one thing that did happen was that after a while of screwing around with it it would simply stop responding to any changes I made to it. Like I would drag or resize the box/circle or screw with the faders and it simply wouldn't do anything. When this happened I'd have to delete the instance of R-Mix and reload it... then I can mess with it for a while again.

No graphical issues but yeah... something weird is going on. Fortunately it is a simple enough program that it's not hard to manually reproduce settings but I'll have to remember to bounce to a new clip to save my work instead of relying on it to remember on it's own.

Probably not helpful but thought I'd mention it.

R-Mix has never worked right for me.

It's a total mess imho.

It doesn't work on stereo tracks almost at all as far as I can tell. You don't have to do much to get it to be a glitchy mess.

Sorry. My experience.

Edit:
I just went back to try it again to be sure I wasn't talking nonsense. In 5 minutes of diddling with it, I got it so you couldn't re-size the box horizontally... then I got it so you could only resize the oval but couldn't move the oval. Every time I've tried to add it to a project and automate it, it has been so random in what it does that I have to remove it from the project, unable to get predictable results. I just don't try it anymore.

The fact that others get it to work is promising. I wonder if I turn off 64 bit processing or something. Maybe b/c I use a touch screen? idk. Something I'm doing differently from the others.

That's a shame. It's a pretty neat tool but it is kind of unreliable and doesn't QUITE do what I was hoping it would. Then again it was produced by our previous corporate overlords whom I lost a lot of confidence in.

It's a decent alternative for now though until I can scrounge up enough cash for other solutions like the Izotope thingie.

Cheers.
