Sweetwater has the Melodyne Essential upgrade to Editor for $125 through the 31st. Seems like a great deal. I am assuming that upgrading will not interfere with the Sonar X3 ARA integration? I think I read somewhere that the upgrade just unlocks and authorizes the Editor extra capabilities without actually downloading new pieces of the program? I guess I am just looking for confirmation. I don't want to make the purchase and find out Editor won't work as smoothly in Sonar as Essential does.

There is no problem, it will work fine - all versions of melodyne install the same software which is unlocked according to what serial number you have.

interestingly enough I got and email from Melodyne offering me the upgrade for 149 yesterday.
