For you English folks 'xcuse the title if it looks weird.
 
I want to cut the events in the first 4 bars of 7 mdi track and shift them to 00:00:00 at the same. Some tracks
have midi events in the 4 bars some don't.
 
I've done this numerous time with audio tracks but I don't know how, if it is possible, to do it with midi tracks.
I've tried the "cut special", "delete special" and checked the "delete whole" box but nothing will do. The events
are cut/deleted but the midi track are not shifting to the left by 4 measures.
 
Am I missing something?
 
I know you can slide the tracks manually but it's a pain, more so when you are doing it all the midi with audio tracks.

There is in preferences -editing the " slide over and make room" option.
But it's just as easy to do a "Ctrl A" to select all and use the move tool to move the whole shebang over to where you want it.  set your snap to grid first.

I should now to always check the preferences when a functionnality
does not work as expected...(-:

I know the ctrl-A / sliding evereything. It's just the more tracks you
have the easier it is to leave clips "behind", thus you screwing your file.
