I'll have to get back to you on that one Matt.

So if you don't mind could you please check back here Thursday afternoon?

Thanks

chefmike, I have two of the Focusrite Scarlett 18i6s and they both work just fine with X2. I noticed the messages from Matt Pliskin and wonder if you've tried looking at the output settings on the track or bus with Sonar X2 to ensure you're outputting to stereo. I might have missed in all the string above that you're doing that, but it seems like it would be a setting within X2 given your X1 settings are working fine.

Just got into town.
I was thinking the whole drive "I know this is some silly user issue."

Give me some time to settle in and we'll see where I'm screwing up lol.

OK, where to start?
If I have the Mix Control Routing Section set to DAW1 Mon Out 1 and DAW2 Mon Out 2,
and the Headphone Section set to the same all pan's fine..........except headphones.

So I changed the Headphone Section to Mix 1 L and Mix 1 R.

That now works the same as above.

And yes all meters in Sonar and Mix Control show proper panning  as you would expect.

The last 2 meters on the Mix Control / The left one I have split into a stereo pair and set to DAW! & DAW2.
The meter to the right (the last one) is set to HPL and HPR, also split even tho it still appears as one.

If I change any of the settings I loose the panning in my monitors but all the meters still show as being panned in both apps.

And thanks Lawajava, yes I believe I am outputting to stereo. The meters are showing left and right and my monitors pan, just not my phones.

What simple setting am I missing to get panning in my headphones?

Thanks for your time Matt and anyone else who can help with this.

DING! DING! DING!!!

Well this is right up there with the old "I'm getting no sound from my monitors" then realizing they're off.

Uhhh...........My headphone amp has a mono/stereo button. I must have hit it while connecting my phones.

Thanks for at least coming to my aid.

/facepalm

Yeah Mike but it's those simple little things that are the pain in the a$$ to track down sometimes.
