another song off the new album, this one has a lot going on....

and gave me a chance to use a borrowed epi-gibby elec 12 string,
as well as my custom USACG strat....

some real fun bass lines, and a pretty expressive drum track makes it a bit progressive.
turns downright spacy at the end, which is my favorite place to go.
please Njoy.

Awesome stuff & nothing bad about the lyrics or vocals, but just thought if the lyrics/words ever don't wanna come to you...could do an instrumental song/EP/Album with that Strat (and this sound you have now).
Drums, bass and some synths, 1 catchy guitar theme/riff per song and just play/solo and FLY away (and come back a few times).

This is pretty awesome, a melange of rock awesomeness.

Then again, I like Rush.

well done. I'd comment only a little on the mix but that cake is baked, correct? I'd boost the vocal a tad in spots where it's pretty much even with the other elements. Just a few spots.

again, awesomeness!

cheers,
-Tom

Great stuff Bats, the arrangement on this is something special. Love your wah-wah lead, reminded me of Gary Moore with Colosseum II. I like it when it gets all drifty and spacy at the end too.

(btw, I get your mix of the vocal - '70's rock style, voice as part of the band)

thanks for the comments, tom, yes, this is finished product off of my latest album release.
links in the sig...

the vox is perfectly loud enough to make out all of the lyric,
maybe not for casual listening, like modern pop karaoke-type mixes,
but for this genre, the vox are spot on, mix wise.....
this is, of course, purely subjective...

but as a fan and student of classic rock,
it falls right in line, it makes for a more immersive listen,
especially if listening in cans or earbuds...

i struggle with this 'idea' of always making the voices louder than i think they ought to be,
but ultimately,
i go with my gut, and usually it's right.
