I like this synth but you have to add your own DSP effects such as reverb and delay before you appreciate it.
That's easy enough to do, and applies to many synths. Most synth presets are drenched in effects anyway, to help sell them.
If I am layering several synths together, I would prefer not to use the on-board FX in a synth anyway, unless they are a significant part of a particular sound.
I set up a nice effects chain for it using only some free FX widely available to download, plus a couple from Cake. Just pretend that it's a real classic piece of analog gear that you need to route to an external effects rack
