sharke
Hasn't talcum powder been determined to be carcinogenic or something?
I'd imagine so if you're inhaling it. I hold my breath until it's safely sealed into my gitch.
Kind of like diatemaceous earth (used for insect control). It's a mineral of rotted and crystalized(?) organic material that is like tiny little shards of glass (which the bugs walk through and it shreds them internally).
However both work extremely well for their intended purposes. Just don't snort the crap and you should be fine.
Also... if you have animals about (which you do, sharke) you don't want to use such crystallized organic powder UNLESS you seal it in (like behind baseboards or whatnot) because animals WILL snort that sh*t right up in the course of their daily sniffing duties.
Edit: It seems to have a lot in common with asbestos but doesn't latch on to lung tissue QUITE as badly (which is what makes aspestos so toxic). But yes... put in on your sweaty bits and it pretty much stops being an airborne problem.
You, IIRC, already had cancer though so you should probably avoid any of that crap at all costs.
