Hello,

I upgraded from Sonar 8.5 Producer to Sonar X3 Producer,  When I try to use the Melodyne feature I can't get it to work with in Sonar X3.  I See Melodyne in the Audio Fx in the Vst3 and Vst2 drop down.  But when I go to the Region Fx Melodyne is not present.

There should not be a VST2 version of Melodyne installed. Is the Melodyne Essential bundled with SONAR the only version installed on the machine? Did it install correctly during the X3 install?

It seem to install ok, This is the first time Melodyne Essential has been on my system.  I didn't have it with Sonar Producer 8.5.  I can run it as a stand alone.  I can export a audio file into a wave format and load it into Melodyne in the stand alone mode and adjust the audio.  But It will not work as a plug in.

So this is the first time any version of Melodyne was installed on this machine. Not sure where the VST2 version came from. It does not load as a VST3 either? Did you perform the reset and rescan http://www.cakewalk.com/S...ommended-for-Upgraders after upgrading?

Thanks, No I haven't tried performing a reset and rescan, I will try this when I get back to my studio.

Thanks scook for your advice, what you suggested worked.  I called cakewalk tech support, they advised me to update sonar X3a to X3e.  Well while I was waiting for the update link to arrive in my email.  I done what you suggested 1st.  And It worked, so that problem is solved.  I went ahead and updated my software, So the update may have fixed it as well. Now I must start to learn how to use this tool.
